All international students can benefit from General Health Insurance by making monthly payments.
6) Transfers from universities abroad:
University senates may determine quotas for horizontal (lateral) transfers from higher education institutions abroad. In order for a student to transfer to our University, the relevant program must have an available international transfer quota.
Transfers are not permitted into the preparatory classes of associate and undergraduate degree programs; into the first or last semester of associate degree programs; or into the first two or last two semesters of undergraduate degree programs.
Application Requirements:
1) To transfer from a foreign higher education institution into a program in Turkey that requires a success ranking (e.g., Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Law, Teaching):
a) The university where the student began their higher education must be ranked within the top 400 in at least three of the ranking systems recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Times Higher Education (THE), QS World University Rankings, Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), CWTS Leiden Ranking
b) If the student is enrolled in a university that does not meet this top 400 requirement:
1) Those who completed their secondary education in Turkey must have taken the national university entrance exam (ÖSYS/YKS) and achieved the required score for the relevant program in the year of their enrollment.
2) Those who completed at least the final two years of their secondary education abroad must have successfully completed at least four semesters (excluding preparatory class) of the enrolled diploma program.
2) The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 and must not have failed any courses during the relevant period.
3) The student must not have received any disciplinary punishment, except for a warning.
4) The student must not have interrupted their education, except for an official leave (e.g., registration freeze).
5) Applicants for international transfer quotas must submit their university entrance exam result (ÖSYS/YKS) from the year they were accepted into their current program, or possess a valid score from one of the recognized exams specified in the Ankara University Directive for International Student Admission.
