Warm greetings from Chungnam National University in Korea!
We are pleased to announce the Korean Government Scholarship Program for inbound
exchange students who would like to study at CNU for the Spring 2026 semester. This
program provides an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in studying
abroad, particularly in Korea.
The GKS scholarship (Exchange) offers the following benefits for a semester(4 months of
study) for those who will attend CNU for one semester (Spring 2026: March ~ June,
2026).
Students who wish to stay for a year can also apply for this scholarship, but they will only
receive 4 months of scholarship support. Please note that the scholarship does not cover
the cost of the flight ticket back home in this case.

[Process]
Please note the following important dates in the scholarship application process
1. Nomination and Application: 2025 DEC 17 in KST
2. 1st Round CNU Selection Result Announcement: 2025 DEC 24
3. Final Round NIIED Selection Result Announcement: 2026 JAN 16
[Qualifications (must be qualified for all of the following 9)]
1. Undergraduate students from a foreign university who has signed an agreement (or,
letter) with CNU.
2. Students who are not currently studying in Korea
3. The average GPA score of 80% or higher at home university
4. Students who have completed at least two semesters at home university
5. Applicants for regular academic courses in CNU
6. Students who have no history of receiving a scholarship from the Korean government
7. Unable to apply for dual nationality including Korean nationality
8. It is impossible to simultaneously apply for the GKS exchange program at multiple universities.
The application deadline is 17 DEC 2025 in KST.

1. (Form1) Nomination(Form attached) from home university
2. (From2) Application (should be written in Korean or English, form attached
including Study Plan and Personal Statement)
* Handwritten signature is required at the bottom of the application form
3. Certificate of Enrollment fo University (in English)
4. Passport copy or certificate of birth (in English): To check the nationality
5. Official transcripts (in English) + Letter that mentions the percentage of students’ G.P.A.
(e.g. 85/100).
6. (Form3) Personal Statement & Study Plan(should be written in Korean or English,
format attached.)
7. [Optional 1] Language(English or Korean) Proficiency Test Certificate(e.g. IELTS, TOEFL,
TOPIK…), If applicable.
8. [Optional 2] Award and achievements, If applicable.
