In this province, where a continental climate prevails in the southern and central parts, winters are cold and snowy, while summers are hot and dry. In the northern region, the province experiences the mild and rainy conditions characteristic of the Black Sea climate.

In areas dominated by the continental climate, there are significant temperature differences between day and night, as well as between summer and winter seasons. The hottest months are July or August, with average daytime high temperatures ranging between 27°C and 31°C. The coldest month is January, with average nighttime low temperatures between -6°C and -1°C.

Precipitation is highest in December and lowest in July or August.
